Letter to Sidewalk Astronomers

Published 2005-09-05 10:35:36

To Mr. Bill Scott,

You probably don't remeber me, my name is Chase Purvis. You and your society taught me how to build a telescope when I was probably 10 years old, and I'm 23 now. I live out in North Carolina and I'm in the US Air Force. When I was with you guys I built a 10 inch that was a very good scope, but over time the primary mirror changed shape(I believe). I was looking on the internet right now because I'm doing a report on Copernicus when I stumbled across your website.

I just wanted to thank you guys for helping me out and for all the actions you've taken to teach astronomy to the masses. Anyways get back at me if you can, I want to see if you remeber me.
