The Sidewalk Astronomers are a public service amateur astronomy association. ALL Sidewalk Astronomers events are for the public. We take telescopes TO the public - on street corners, public parks, in front of bookstores -wherever there are crowds of people. We also work with other amateur astronomy organizations and take part in many international projects. Please browse our site and feel free to contact us to learn about events in your area.

5th ISAN - Saturday May 7, 2011
Billions of Eyes are STILL Waiting!

Take your scope out on the street corner this Saturday night. We know many of you will be doing Astronomy Day events and hope that you can find some time to go out to the street corner or to have some of your club members practice a little "urban guerilla astronomy".

Continue the fun you had during April with Global Astronomy Month and join us in spreading sidewalk astronomy around the world.
